Mother/Daughter Trips
Traveling with our daughters is our favorite way to spend time together - we've done it all with our girls: Scotland, Vegas, Mexico, the Texas Hill Country. We have to say, on the spectrum of motherhood, splitting a beer in Copenhagen with our daughters is way better than the whole diaper-changing part. If you haven't done a trip with your daughter yet, now is the time! We've compiled our top 7 mother-daughter destinations for you to take your little (or not-so-little-anymore) girl. 1. Napa, California
For the newly 21 year old daughter, taking a trip to Napa to sip on wines and appreciate them is so fun to experience. As a mother, seeing your little girl as a adult is a huge shift, and what better way to do it than teaching her that wine does in fact come out of bottles, not only boxes like college may have taught her. Experience the beautiful rolling hills and coordinate matching sundresses all while staying locally within the US. Make a long-weekend out of it!
2. Paris, France
Of course, Paris! The city of love far outreaches just romantic love. Strolling through cobblestone streets, splitting a croissant and shopping at beautiful boutiques along the Champs-Elysee are sure to make memories of a lifetime. Giggle at the way each other pronounces "Un Croque Monsieur, Si'l-vous-plait" when ordering to the waiter and pretend to understand art as you explore the Louvre.
3. Belize
Belize is a bit off the trodden path of Mother-Daughter trips, but we think that's a major oversight. With beautiful beaches and the largest barrier reef in the northern hemisphere - this spot is an incredible destination. Interior Belize is home to Mayan ruins and other historical sights so Belize can cater to the sun-bather, history-lover, snorkler or any combination of those things. The official language is English which makes things easy and the people are SO friendly!
4. Santorini, Greece
Sunshine, Feta cheese, Donkey Rides, Long walks in the Greek hills - I'm itching to clear my calendar and book a flight just thinking about it! This destination really is perfect to experience with your daughter - the Greek culture is so vibrant and the variety of things to do is endless. We can cater your Greek trip to exactly what you're hoping for whether it's island hopping, or village exploring.
5. The Texas Hill Country
If you're wanting a quick and local getaway, you really cant get any better than the Texas Hill Country! Here the options are endless - Fredricksburg, Austin, San Antonio are the big ones...but we are partial to a little boutique stay call WahWahTaysee. These gorgeous yurts are tucked along the Colorado river and allow you to "glamp" in style! There's fishing, sunbathing, campfires and more. Its an easily accessible by all major Texas cities and will leave you feeling relaxed and recharged.
6. Carribean Cruise
If you’re looking for the ultimate no-stress tropical vacation, look no further than a cruise! Cruises can be great fit for mother-daughter trips because there’s something for everyone with price points to match. What better way to spend time with your mom or daughter than by visiting multiple gorgeous locations, eating fabulous food, getting a spa treatment (or two!), and taking in excellent comedy and musical theater performances?
7. Baha Mar, Bahamas
Last, but certainly not least we have the Bahamas. The beaches of Baha Mar are the perfect escape for your mother/daughter duo. Pick a book to read together and be sure to order poolside drinks and snacks! This stay is the perfect spot for the busy duo who can't seem to slow down - these beaches force you to in all the best ways. Put the phones down, dig those toes in the sand and enjoy the sun, people watching and blue waters together.
